SOL White wine...
Harvested even later than the reds.

Tardana is a very special and unique white grape variety because it ripens later than all the red grapes of our region.. Because it is harvested so late, usually in November, the Tardana grape receives more hours of sunshine every vintage. Hence its name.

This wine is an excellent example of the “reclamation” work of our winery, since the Tardana grape variety has practically disappeared from our region and is at risk of extinction.

Our Tardana vines grow in starkly white limestone soils located near the village of Cilanco (in Villatoya, Albacete), along the Cabriel river. The particular microclimate is caused by the steep protective enclave of the site, allowing this demanding varietal to reach full maturity, even quite late in the year.

White Wine of 100% Tardana, Sol is created through sustainable agriculture and artisanal production techniques. After a gentle pressing, one-third of the wine finishes its fermentation in clay amphoras (tinajas), followed by 3 months of aging on the lees.

Because it is vinified without fining or cold stabilization, natural sediments may appear in the bottle or glass.

Sol can be enjoyed by all kinds of wine consumers, including vegans and vegetarians.
