TERRA skin contact White wine...
An “Orange Wine” fermented and aged in clay.

Terra is a natural “orange” wine made with Tardana, the same varietal used in our Sol wine. The Tardana grape has a hard skin. For this reason, and because we use a manual press, we were able to see many interesting "things" being left out with the skins. That’s when we started thinking about how we might be able to extract all that hidden lost value by conducting fermentation along with skins inside the clay amphoras. From this idea Terra was born!

The vineyard plots of the Tardana used for Terra have a north-facing orientation, which gives us more freshness while also speeding up the ripening. As a result, the grapes come to the winery quite concentrated, with ripe tannins perfect for fermentation on the skins. These factors give Terra its unusual intensity of varietal expression.

Natural White Wine from 100% Tardana, crafted with artisanal winemaking of minimum intervention, and fermented in clay amphoras with the skins. In our growing area this style is called “brisado wine” and hence its name "orange wine," since it is a wine with marked orange tones due to its maceration with the skins. After fermentation and a soft pressing with a vertical press, Terra passes some more time resting in amphoras, where it will age a bit more before bottling.

Because it is vinified without fining or cold stabilization, natural sediments may appear in the bottle or glass.

Terra can be enjoyed by all kinds of wine consumers, including vegans and vegetarians.
